Aoshima Sake Brewery has been producing sake since the mid-Edo period, and is said to be around 200 years old. We use underground water from the Southern Alps of the Oigawa River system, which has an abundant amount of water and stable water quality, and uses only Shizuoka yeast, which is unique to Shizuoka. In addition, we use Yamada Nishiki rice, which is suitable for sake brewing, and we cultivate Yamada Nishiki rice grown in Fujieda together with neighboring rice farmers. This type is called ``Shizuoka type'', which has a ``gentle ginjo aroma, refreshing flavor, soft texture, and smooth throat'', and has a low acidity so you won't get tired of drinking it. It was named ``Kikuyoi'' with the idea of ``a drink that will keep you drunk for a long time.''
