Snacks and Sweets
``Daianmaki'' is a specialty of Okuyama. It is a Japanese confectionery with a dorayaki-like skin covered with red bean paste, but it is large, measuring approximately 18 centimeters in height and 8 centimeters in width. It was invented with the idea of creating something unique that could not be found anywhere else, so that a large branding iron could be stamped on it.
There is plenty of strained bean paste inside the large bean paste, and when you hold it, it feels heavy and heavy. Although it looks impressive in scale, the sweetness of the bean paste is modest and light, making it surprisingly edible.
If you can't eat it all and have leftovers, you can freeze it and it will last for about a month. In the hot summer, it's also good to partially defrost it and enjoy the crunchy texture.
