Hamamatsu Fruit Park is an agricultural park that grows approximately 9 fruit trees of 160 different species from temperate to tropical regions on a vast site the size of nine Tokyo Domes.
There are approximately 270 persimmons in the park, including astringent and sweet persimmons, and persimmon harvesting experiences are held from mid-October to late November every year. You can enjoy the taste of autumn with varieties such as ``Jiro'', a sweet persimmon born in Shizuoka, ``Fuyu'', and ``Shinshu'', and the harvested fruit is sold by weight. It is a good idea to check the harvest schedule before heading out.
