2. Award Overview

　・A council made up of the Chamber of Commerce, the Tourism Association, the government, etc. develops and sells products for tourists, such as beverages and sweets, that use the local specialty, Tanna milk.

3. Overview of the award-winning organizations

　This organization was established in 30 with the aim of revitalizing the local economy through tourism exchanges that make use of the region's dairy farming resources and natural environment.

4. Introduction of the initiative

(1) Installation of Tanna Milk Yogurt Tap

　At the roadside station Izu Gateway Kannami, there is a vending machine modeled after a giant milk carton that dispenses drinkable yogurt from a tap.

　Demonstration testing began in 2021, and official sales began in May 2022.

　It has also been incorporated into bus tours and other tourist attractions, becoming a popular item at the roadside station and playing a major role in promoting the town's food culture.

(2) Enjoy Kannami Town with the development of "Aminyon Yaki"

　"Aminyeon-yaki" is a sweet made using buttermilk, a by-product produced when making butter from Tannan milk.

　Buttermilk is difficult to handle because bacteria grows quickly in it, so about one ton of it was discarded per month. This time, we have established a way to use it in sweets, which has reduced food waste.

　The shape of the sweets is inspired by the seated Amida Buddha statue at the Buddha Village Museum, a unique cultural and tourist resource in the town.

　Sales will begin in 2022, with the aim of establishing it as a new souvenir from Kannami Town.

　This product also won the gold prize in this year's prefecture's "Fujinokuni New Product Selection."
