Atami
Atami City is located at the easternmost tip of Shizuoka Prefecture, facing Sagami Bay to the east, and is surrounded by the Hakone Mountains on three sides: north, south, and west. Approximately 1,200 types of fish inhabit Sagami Bay, and the Atami sea has a rich ecosystem due to its topographical features. Among them, horse mackerel is caught in large quantities, and the dried fish, which is made using natural seawater sun-salted salt and the sea breeze flowing from Sagami Bay, is exquisite.
