Ohno Corporation

Since joining "Hotel Kokonoe" in 1989, he has continued to study hard, and even had temporary training in Kansai before becoming the head chef in 2014. Since then, in 2018 he became the executive chef of Hotel Concorde Hamamatsu, and in 2020 he became the executive chef of Entetsu Kanko Kaihatsu Co., Ltd., which oversees the entire group. Shizuoka prefecture blowfish processor, single grade cooking technician/specialist chef, halal compatible cook. He also serves as a food education promoter specializing in Japanese cuisine, a vocational training instructor (Japanese cuisine), and is also dedicated to nurturing the next generation.
Awarded the Fujinokuni Capital of Food Craftsman award in 2019.

Worker interview

Mr. Ohno, a native of Hamamatsu City, played baseball throughout elementary and junior high school. My first encounter with food was at a fast food restaurant where I worked part-time after retiring from club activities.Although it was a part-time job after retiring from club activities, Ohno says that it was by fate that he discovered the joy of eating the food he made himself.

Eating around is still one of his hobbies, and he goes not only to restaurants but also to inns, both famous and unknown. ``I have an eye for delicious food,'' she says with a laugh, and she spends her days trying to find hints for cooking.

Mr. Ohno is also a key member of the Hamamatsu Power Food Society, which is a group of restaurants in the city. Based on the concept that the source of Ieyasu's power lies in the health power of Enshu ingredients, he actively participates in activities to promote Enshu ingredients such as seafood and vegetables. ``Hamamatsu vegetables have a strong flavor, and cooking them with Hamamatsu water enhances their flavor.'' Mr. Ohno has a unique background, having also worked in sales for a time. He may have something in common with Lord Ieyasu, who is said to have suffered hardships in his youth.
