The ``City of Food'' award ceremony was held in Fujinokuni in 2025.

On Tuesday, February 2024, 13, at Grandière Bouquet-Tokai, we will hold a ceremony for the ``XNUMX Fujinokuni Capital of Food Award Ceremony'' and to support the PR and market development of awarded and certified products. We held a "matching exchange meeting" with buyers.
In Shizuoka Prefecture, in order to make use of its place as a ``kingdom of food ingredients'' and create a ``food capital'' in the attractive Fujinokuni area, Shizuoka Prefecture awards and certifies the human resources and prefecture-produced agricultural, forestry and fishery products that will play a leading role in this endeavor.
Approximately 100 people attended, including Governor Kawakatsu, award recipients, and members of the judging and selection committee for each award. After a greeting from Governor Kawakatsu, certificates of commendation and certificates were presented.
In addition, we received comments on this year's award-winning and certified products from each award and the judges and selectors.
This year's award recipients are:
(1) “Craftsmen who create the Fujinokuni food capital”
``Fujinokuni Food Capital Creation Worker'' is a system that recognizes people who convey the wonders of prefecture-produced ingredients through the provision of dishes that actively utilize prefecture-produced ingredients. There are 13 award winners this year.
This time, the total number of "Fuji no Kuni Food Capital Creation Workers" has reached 548 people.

(2) “The Worker of the Year 2023”
“The Worker of the Year 2023” is a system that recognizes workers who are working as role models for other workers, such as creating Fujinokuni's food culture and contributing to the community through food. If you win ``The Worker of the Year'' five times, you will be awarded the title of ``Fujinokuni Maestro Chef.''
There are 12 award winners this year. Three new maestro chefs have been appointed at Fujinokuni.
This time, a total of 162 people have been named "The Worker of the Year" and 18 people have been named Fujinokuni Maestro Chefs.

(3) “Fujinokuni Food Capital Development Contribution Award”
The ``Fujinokuni Food Capital Development Contribution Award'' is a system that recognizes companies and organizations that practice exemplary activities, such as contributing to the promotion of food culture in this prefecture. This year, eight organizations received awards.
This year, a total of 51 organizations have received the "Fujinokuni Food Capital Development Contribution Award".

(4) “Shizuoka Food Selection”
``Shizuoka Food Selection'' is a system that certifies prefecture-produced agricultural, forestry and fishery products that have value and characteristics that can be proud of nationally and internationally. There are 5 certified products this year.
This brings the total number of products certified by Shizuoka Food Selection to 197.

(5) “Fuji no Kuni New Product Selection”
The "Fujinokuni New Product Selection" is a system that awards new processed products that take advantage of the appeal of prefecture-produced agricultural, forestry, and fishery products. There are 11 award-winning products this year.
This time, a total of 185 products have won the "Fuji no Kuni New Product Selection" award.

After the award ceremony, a "matching exchange meeting" was held next to the award ceremony venue. In addition to product presentations of award-winning products from this year's "Shizuoka Food Selection" and "Fujinokuni New Product Selection," we also had a booth interaction with buyers and award winners.
Samples for tasting and take-home were also available, and buyers and award winners listened intently to the stories.
