Tasting the dining experience of the Izu Nirayama magistrate, the Egawa family - Making Egawa sake -
"Rice Harvesting '24.10.19 and Harvest Festival '24.12.07" Set fee: 48,000 yen
The recipe for "Egawa Sake", a legendary sake, was discovered in the Egawa Library in 2019, and was recreated at Izu's only sake brewery, Bankai Brewery. Rice cultivation has begun in the rice fields of the Egawa residence to make Egawa Sake.
Part 1: Experience rice harvesting and try the "Bread Father's Bread" arrangement
Egawa Hidetatsu, the magistrate of Nirayama who devoted himself to coastal defense during the end of the Edo period, devised various types of bread for that purpose. The final type of bread was completed in 1842. For this reason, he is called the "father of bread."

Part 2: Tasting re-created dishes from the Edo period samurai Egawa family at the harvest festival
The vast collection of documents remaining from the Egawa family includes menus of dishes eaten during the Edo period. We will have Koshin Anji Goemu recreate dishes from the menu. We will taste new rice and enjoy the recreated dishes from the Edo period. Although the new sake is not ready yet, we will also drink Egawa sake that has been in the brewery for 24 years.

Guests will be able to dine in the shoin study room of the Egawa residence, which is not open to the public.

Participants in both the rice harvesting and harvest festival will receive 2kg of new rice.
