29 Fujinokuni Capital of Food Contribution Award Recipient Organization “Zuishokai”
Release date: 2018.02.13
Striving to disseminate Shizuoka's food and pass on the traditions of Japanese cuisine
An army of orange jumpers stands out at the food event venue. The tamagoyaki made by Zuishokai's artisans is so popular that there is always a line of customers. The association was established in 2015 as the Shizuoka Prefecture Professional Chefs Federation, a general incorporated association, with the aim of "contributing to Shizuoka's food culture while developing human resources in the Japanese culinary industry and passing on traditional culture and techniques." . Currently, there are about 100 Japanese chefs working mainly in the eastern part of the prefecture and Izu, and in addition to carrying out nutritional education and awareness activities, they also protect and pass on Japan's unique food culture, such as knife ceremonies and tea ceremonies. At the same time, we actively participate in prefectural projects by leveraging our collective strength. In particular, in commemoration of the 11th anniversary of our friendship partnership with China's Zhejiang Province last November, we introduced authentic Japanese cuisine, even bringing the dishes to China, and it was a great success. ``This year, we want to focus on educating our members and help them achieve inner fulfillment,'' said Chairman Yasuyuki Inozume (Creator of Fujinokuni's Food Capital). These ambitious people will continue to lead Shizuoka's Japanese cuisine.
