Creating a whirlwind through the collaboration of chefs and producers

We are a food specialist group consisting of four core members: Fuminori Nishitani from the Italian restaurant NORI, Yasushi Miyoshi from the Japanese restaurant Miyoshi, Yoshinori Iguchi from Saien Iguchi, and Shigehiro Sugiyama from Tamatori Sugiyama Farm. He is involved in many events such as developing products using local ingredients, holding dinner parties, and marches, and his activities are often covered by the media and has a strong ability to disseminate information. Unique ideas such as driving into a zucchini field in a kitchen truck and cooking and serving freshly picked vegetables on the spot, and a farmer dressed as a sommelier presenting shiitake mushrooms inside a restaurant are unique ideas that encourage cooks, producers, and consumers. It connects people as one. What we want to convey most through Team NORI's activities is the joy of eating. “I would be happy if the circle of people around us expands from here and people get to know more about the wonderful producers and ingredients in the prefecture.I will keep running for that purpose,” Nishitani says with a smile.

Mr. Sugiyama is a shiitake mushroom farmer. ``Seeing my customers enjoy their food is what makes my day-to-day work so rewarding,'' he says.

Mr. Iguchi explains about vegetables. Hearing directly from the producers also gives customers a sense of intimacy.

Taiyo no Marche is held in Kachidoki, Tokyo. Vegetable bouquets made with fresh vegetables are popular.
